Getting to Grindelwald–First

Arrival by train
The Bernese Oberland Railway runs every 30 minutes from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald station. The Grindelwald Terminal (do not get off) is not the final stop – please travel one stop further to Grindelwald to continue from there to the First Aerial Cableway. The valley station of the First Aerial Cableway is located in the centre of Grindelwald village and can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. The First Aerial Cableway takes you to First in just 25 minutes in six-seater gondolas via the intermediate stations of Bort and Schreckfeld. Timetable

Arrival by car
Visitors arriving by car, we recommend using the car park Grindelwald Terminal. A shuttle drives every 15 minutes to the First Aerial Cableway. Parking slots are not available in the close area of the First Aerial Cableway. Especially for day visitors arriving by car, we recommend using the Park+Ride Matten bei Interlaken: simply park and switch to public transport. Get live parking space info at jungfrau.ch/parking.
