The cinema nights on Winteregg promise thrills, romance, action, suspense and laughter. The Movie Nights big screen on Winteregg will show selected films for cinema fans big and small from 8 to 17 August 2019. Over seven evenings, the restaurant terrace at 1,600 metres above sea level transforms in a multifaceted world of cinema in front of the unique backdrop of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
The premiere on Thursday 8 August is not for the faint-hearted, as extreme mountaineer Alex Honnold prepares to conquer the 975-metre-high and almost vertical El Capitan rock face in Yosemite National Park, California, without a safety rope in the documentary “Free Solo”. The programme continues with the films “Mamma Mia! Here I Go Again”, “The Lion King”, “A Star Is Born”, “Wolkenbruch” and “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw”. To round things off, the biographical film drama “Bohemian Rhapsody”, winner of four Oscars, tells the story of Freddie Mercury. The film “Free Solo” is in English with German subtitles. The other films will be shown in German. Each film starts at 21.15 h.

Three-course meal as part of the cinema experience
You get there by taking the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp where the panorama train continues to Winteregg. The film screening can be combined with dinner beforehand at Restaurant Winteregg. Cinema and combo tickets are now available at www.jungfau.ch/movie-nights or at all Jungfrau Railways stations.

The Jungfrau Railway and Restaurant Winteregg are organising Movie Nights in cooperation with the cinema provider Movie World Spiez. Over 1,000 visitors are expected.
