More than 36,000 Top4 Sportpasses sold in winter 2017/2018: After a successful launch, the four largest Bernese ski resorts want to beat this record and start pre-sale for the second season in early September. The joint winter sports subscription for Adelboden-Lenk, Gstaad, the Jungfrau ski region and Meiringen-Hasliberg and Gstaad will be available again for CHF 666 from 16 December 2018.

The Jungfrau Railway Group can look back on an encouraging first six months of 2018. High demand from Asia, good slope conditions and consistently good weather had a positive effect on the operating results. The operating income was up 8.7% on the previous year to CHF 100.2 million. In the first half-year period, 466,300 visitors travelled to the Jungfraujoch. This is 0.4% more than during the same period the previous year and is the best ever result.

Construction work on the V-Cableway has been in full swing since mid-June 2018. Work has already started on all of the sub-projects. Today, 3 July 2018, the official ground-breaking ceremony for the V-Cableway took place in Grindelwald. After more than five years of planning, the machines were put into place in mid-June. Shortly thereafter, construction started on the project costing 470 million Swiss francs.

At the start of the World Cup in Russia, Jungfrau Railways and the FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich are launching a special offer for their guests. Museum visitors will travel to the Top of Europe at reduced prices from October to December 2018. Jungfraujoch guests will receive a 50% discount on entry to the FIFA Museum during the World Cup.

After the BAV issued planning permission for the V-Cableway on 31 May 2018, Pro Natura and the Swiss Foundation for Countryside Conservation signed a complaint waiver today, 8 June 2018. This means that nothing now stands in the way of the realisation of the V-Cableway project.

After more than five years of planning, the V-Cableway is about to be built. The Swiss Federal Office of Transport (BAV) issued planning permission for the entire project yesterday, Thursday, 31 May 2018. This will ensure the timely launch of the Grindelwald-Männlichen gondola cableway in December 2019. The tricable gondola Eigerexpress will be opened at the end of 2020.

The Jungfrau Railway Group can look back on a strong financial year of 2017. It achieved a net transport income of 144 million francs. This means an increase of 14.1 per cent from the previous year and corresponds to the highest transport income generated to date. The positive result was attained from an increase in all segments.

The clean-up work on the Wengernalp Railway (WAB) line between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen has been completed and train services can resume this afterno on, 22 January 2018. At 13:37, the first train departed Lauterbrunnen towards Wengen. As of 14:03, WAB has been operational from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen. Trains are currently running between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen every hour (Lauterbrunnen from xx: 37, Wengen from xx:03).

Following persistent snow and rain, a landslide occurred on the Wengernalpbahn (WAB) line between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen this morning, 22 January 2018. No trains were affected. WAB train services are currently suspended on the affected section.
The V-Cableway Project exhibition begins on Wednesday, 4 June 2014 in the Grindelwald Sport Centre. In order to provide information about the joint project between Grindelwald-Männlichen Gondola Cableway and Jungfrau Railways, it will be open to the public and all interested parties until the community vote in October 2014.
